VILLAGE HISTORY DAY

This is/was being planned for the 8th May to celebrate VE day, and village history - all at the same time, in the hall.

It is unlikely to happen, but we live in hope! If it does not take place in May, it will be postponed to later in the year.

The idea is to include a display of old (20 years plus) photos, documents, books, school tea towels, and general memorabilia, or even old films.

However, if you are stuck at home looking for something to do, please see what  can be found that may be of interest to others, ready for when normality returns.

The hall has facilities to copy, scan or store items so we have a permanent public archive. If you have photos etc that we can scan and store or put on the web site now (see what is there already), then contact as below.

Please remember to take interesting photos TODAY, for tomorrow's history! (we can store them!)

to view a set of photos, just click on the name below

You can then view in a gallery - "show more" does what it says!

Clicking an image will enlarge, and allow scrolling through all the set.

If you can help with names or descriptions of photos then please contact as below.

Here is a bonus - read all about Gordon Lott's story, or try his Devon dialect.
